A Certificate of Good Standing basically indicates that a company is professional and organised and has filed all the necessary documents and forms in order to meet statutory disclosure requirements.
This is especially useful for UK banks and other interested parties who sometimes ask for good standing certificates as an indication that a company's statutory records with Companies House are accurate and up-to-date, and that the company has not been late in filing its Annual Returns and Statutory Accounts.
The certificate is normally valid for 3 months.
